“Jay was recognized for his incredible expertise and breed knowledge as well as his integrity when judging,” Cardinal Laboratories announced. 
“Jay never puts the person before the dog and he is always fair and helpful,” the Cardinal spokesperson continued.
The company announces the names of award winners at Intergroom, the International Grooming Show.
The awards were established in 1988 to recognize and publicize the achievements of dog groomers, grooming judges, and grooming journalists, and to promote professionalism in the grooming industry.
Jay is co-owner of Canine Grooming Secrets and co-author of the Super Styling Sessions series of training DVDs for groomers. He and his partner, Sue Zecco, together have won a total of seven Cardinal Crystal Awards.
